Ashley has spent seven years as a groomer, founding Dandy Dog Pet Parlor in 2023.

With her love of dogs as her guide, she first looked into Veterinary services after graduating from High School in Manawa. However, something was missing, and she then turned towards a calling that could tie her creativity with her love of dogs together: Grooming.

Grooming is a vital service for dogs, regardless of activity level, and one she excels at. After training for five years under a corporate grooming service she wished to offer more personalized services to the beloved pets of the City of Wausau and surrounding communities.

At Dandy Dog, she offers a more intimate setting, with a maximum of two dogs on an overlapping appointment only on occasion. Well versed in the interpretation of a dog’s expression of stress, she knows that less volume equals a calmer experience and the opportunity to lock in and groom without distraction. A better experience for all.

Recently she has taken her love of color from her personal interest and is now applying it to her grooming practice. Dogs are more than capable of knowing when they are clean and admired, and with the addition of coloring services, a sociable dog can enjoy all the attention. It brings joy to the pet parents as well!

Always looking to stay on top of any innovations or training available in her field, Ashley has attended the pedigreed Hershey Grooming Expo and is looking forward to heading back in 2026.
